Help your community this Easter with a Children’s Clothing Bank donation

Following the success of our Christmas appeal for the Foodbank, the Pars Family have again united to support the Fife Children’s Clothing Bank. This is a registered Charity, founded recently and is based in Crossgates with outlets in Cowdenbeath and Kelty. It works along the same lines as the Foodbank. People are referred by bona fide agencies like the social work department, medical practitioners, citizen’s advice etc. and provided with vouchers.

We would again ask that we continue the “Pars Family” spirit of giving and encourage Pars fans to donate clothes that their children have grown out of or donate the items from their “Spring Clean”. The Clothing Bank will distribute any clothes for children up to school leaving age.

DAFC Managing Director, Ross McArthur said “following on from the tremendous success of the Pars Family foodbank appeal at Christmas, we are delighted to be supporting another fantastic cause like the Fife Children’s Clothing Bank. It is great to see the Dunfermline Athletic Supporters Club, the Kincardine Pars Supporters Club, 1885 Business Club, The Pars Supporters Trust and The Centenary Club Lifeline all working together with this initiative.

"As we have always stated, our club is proud to play its part in supporting our wider community, and we see this as another opportunity for everyone associated with the Pars to help those worse off than ourselves."

Jilly Guild of the Fife Children’s Clothing Bank stated “We are delighted to have the support of Dunfermline Athletic Football Club. They have been generous in offering their help to our Charity. The excellent reputation of the club, and the network reach of their supporters will allow us to help more families in Fife, faster and more efficiently”
