Loan comes on end for Lewis
Thursday, 2nd Apr 2015After making eight appearances for Dunfermline, striker Lewis Allan has returned to Hibs following the expiry of his loan period.
Manager John Potter said that it was always the agreement that Dunfermline could have him until the end of March.
"We had pretty much agreed that he would stay until the end of the season but in the final week, they got a couple of injuries to two strikers in training and Alan Stubbs did not want to be caught short so he took Lewis back.
"Lewis loved it, he wanted to stay here and wanted to try and fight for his place but he is Hibs' player and we have got to understand that. They could have called back even if the loan had been longer anyway."
John Potter added:- "I am disappointed to lose him, he has been great through a difficult time for us as a team. He has performed well and even in the tougher games he was probably one of our better players. He is a good kid, I liked working with him. He has a good future in the game and he is more than welcome to come back next year if he wants to join us. I am disappointed to lose him."
Best wishes to Lewis and thanks for your efforts for Dunfermline.
