Rosco's Return
Saturday, 7th Mar 2015The team is more important and the most important thing is for us to start winning games.
Ross Millen has returned from a period of five matches without an appearance to figure in both the Pars matches in the last five days. Speaking exclusively to this website after the 2-1 win over Ayr the 20 year old said:-
"It was a good atmosphere after the game and just good to get a win again. Hopefully we can kick on from here."
The opening goal took until almost the midway point of the second half but he always felt that a goal was coming so this was not something that concerned him:-
"Big Lewis (Allan) was brilliant today, the full front four with Geggan and Spence in the middle did well and deserved the victory."
In the first half Ross had come closest to breaking the deadlock with a free kick that the crossbar kept out. He thought that it had been quite close:-
"I saw the goalie take a step to the other side so I thought I could maybe take him at the other side. That was unlucky but I thought that we had a lot better chances than that to be honest.
"David Hopkirk did really well in both halves and deserved his so called goal but he was the Man of the Match. I think he did well for the team down that left side. Andy Geggan's goal was a typical Geggsie goal, he is brilliant hitting the box late. He arrived at just the right time and I was delighted for him to score again."
Ross was undeterred with his absence of late. He started all but three of the Pars first 28 matches this season and he is happy to be used a required:-
"It is a team game and hopefully when I am called upon I can add to the team. I just keep my head down and work away. The team is more important and the most important thing is for us to start winning games. Four points from the last two games and good to get a win at home.
"Every game is important but we need to take it game by game. There is no point in looking any further than next week's game. It will be tough, next Saturday will be a bigger game and we need to move on to the next one."
Both Gregor Buchanan and Josh Falkingham served their suspensions as they sat out the Ayr match, Ross agreed that they were a big miss and it will be good to have them back available for selection:-
"We have also Ryan Wallace coming back to fitness which is good. I am sure when they come back they will give the team a big spark."
