Geggan looking for reaction
Monday, 2nd Mar 2015"We need to take it out on Brechin. We need to win and get three points.
In some quarters there was some confusion over who scored Dunfermline's goal on Saturday. The BBC were crediting it to Gregor Buchanan but there was no denying that it was all belonging to Andy Geggan who got his head on to the end of a Kyle McAusland free kick. The 27 year old described the game:-
"We got ourselves back into it. I don't know what Gregor Buchanan has done. I don't know if he has meant it or not. It happened and the referee said on the pitch that he did not mean it but then next minute he had sent him off.
"He has gone over to the linesman and the linesman has said that he did mean it so it was a red card. I thought the referee was the guy that was in charge of the full game and he is the one who is saying that he has not meant it.
"We lost Buckie and then two quick goals at a time when we were not settled. To lose the second goal was a dampener; it was an uphill challenge from there.
"The conditions and the pitch were the same for both teams. There was hope at half time; all we needed was the next goal to get us back in it. Unfortunately it didn't go our way, it went the other way and just continued from there. It was just one of those games; they took their chances; we hit the post but apart from that I don't know if we had many chances."
Andy admits to having sleepless nights just thinking about results.
"Everybody is disappointed but we need to pick ourselves up and kick on on Tuesday. Hopefully we can get that win that we need.
"It will be hard to be up for Tuesday but hopefully the boys will react in the right way. We need to take it out on Brechin. We need to win and get three points.
"The boys know themselves that it wasn't good enough at Stranraer but the boys will pick themselves up and just keep going."
