Defeat dampens Dunfermline spirits

Josh Falkingham felt that there was not much between the teams at Station Park on Saturday and it took a wonder goal from his former Dunfermline team mate - Stephen Husband - to separate them:-
"We are just disappointed to lose but to get a strike away like that is unstoppable from when it leaves his foot. We know where it is going.
"We had a couple of chances while they had a couple of shots from distance. Ours were more clear cut ones especially in the first half. Then when Lewis Allan came on he had one, that is where it is won or lost.
"We came here in good sprits after the last two wins knowing that we were going into a run of big games. I am really really disappointed."
The Pars 24 year old captain came close to heading in a goal in the second half and in the end he regretted getting to it.
"I was a little stretched and I didn't realise that Andy Geggan was right behind me. Looking back at it I threw everything I could at it and it hit the sidenetting. Realistically now, looking back and after speaking to Geggs I probably should have got out of the way and left it to Geggs to come on to. He probably saw it all the way whereas I was throwing my whole body at it."
There was another good chance in the first half when Faissal El Bakhtaoui found himself wide right on the break. The French Morrocan's delivery failed to pick out either of the two targets;-
"He got caught up between the two targets - me and Kyle McAusland. He ended up playing it into an area where they had a chance to nick it. I am disappointed that the chances that we got we never took."
The record against Dick Campbell's side this season is played three, lost two and drawn one. Josh reflected:-
"The games against Forfar throughout the season have been pretty much the same. There is absolutely nothing between the two sides. They have been scrappy games that have probably not been enjoyable to watch.
"When we got the ball down and played, it was good but we knew their threats. They kick the ball up to the big man (Chris Templeman) and play nothing really. It was a wonder strike that won it and it is really disappointing that it has gone their way and not ours."
Next up is a home match in midweek against Brechin City, the team that leapfrogged them as a result of the Pars defeat. Josh views that as a great opportunity to put things right:-
"We can't think about it too much now. We have said our words and it is a good thing that Tuesday night is around the corner. We can put things right with a win."
