John Potter said:- "We had a few chances in the second half but overall I did not think that we were great. We were not good enough, we can play a lot better than that and we were pretty poor over the ninety minutes."
The manager agreed that his side gave away too much possession and picked the wrong options:-
"We were a bit too safe on the ball at times. We were going sideways and backwards when we were asking the players to go forward. We wanted them to gamble a bit and play that killer pass. It probably was a lack of confidence but at the end of the day it is maybe down to Forfar. We were sloppy in possession and gave the ball away when we shouldn't."
Ryan Scully had more to do than his Forfar counterpart, Rab Douglas and John Potter praised both for their work:-
"Rab saved when Lewis Allan was through and Faissal was through but in general Ryan Scully's save were from distance and it was a fantastic goal that has won it - it was a cracker. We know Stephen Husband can do that but Andy Geggan gave the ball away and it gave them possession straight back and they got their goal. We have to do better than that."
The Pars did get chances but failed to take them:-
"Faissal in the first half and Lewis Allan in the second half, two really good opportunities but you have to put them away if you are going to win games.
"We have Brechin at home on Tuesday night so we have to go again. We will be in tomorrow, pick ourselves up and start trying to win games again.
"We have a big squad, players coming back from injury so we need to pick a team that can go and win. We felt today that the team we picked was good enough to do that, it wasn't. We made a few changes bringing a few subs on. Michael Moffat made a difference when he got the ball but we should be doing that from minute one, that is the disappointing thing."
