Potter interested in boy George
Saturday, 7th Feb 2015John Potter confirmed his interest in a former Celtic youth player.
The Pars gaffer told the website:-
"He is Paul George, he was at Celtic and I have been speaking to him over the last few weeks about coming in. He had other options, he has been at other clubs looking about and he came and trained with us yesterday and then played for us today. He did very well. He is an out and out winger and he looked dangerous at times.
"He has probably not played and trained as much as the rest of us but he was a threat at times and I thought that he did very well. It is something we are going to look at in the future and see if we can do something about it.
"He probably won Celtic the Youth Cup final when we were there a couple of years ago. In other games against us he has been very good. He has not played massive amounts of first team football but when he was breaking through at Celtic he got a bad leg break that kept him out a while.
"Even in training yesterday he showed a good appetite for the game. He worked hard and he wants to come and do well. He is the one who has been pushing and wanting to come in and as soon as I asked if he wanted to come in and have a day or two training, straight away he said 'yes'.
"Do you want to play Cowdenbeath in the Fife Cup? He said 'yes' and he wants to impress. He has shown a good attitude to come in. He wants to work and he wants to try and win himself a deal.
"The boy has ability, there is no doubt and it is just about us to see if we can do anything about it."
When will the decision be made?
"I will need to have a wee think about it, speak to Neil McCann and the Board and see where we are at. He did well, it is just a case if we can do something for him."
