Disabled Fans Hospitality Day
Thursday, 22nd Jan 2015Winners of a complimentary DAFC hospitality package, in a free competition run by the supporters’ Disabled Access Group.
Six disabled Pars fans (Cameron Adam, Gillian Cosgrove, Colin Johnston, Derek Lemon, Callum Sloan and Derek Williamson) and their companions were winners of a complimentary DAFC hospitality package, in a free competition run by the supporters’ Disabled Access Group.
Thanks to the generosity of ESL Services Ltd and five of the DAFC Directors, the fans enjoyed a superb Kingdom Club meal provided by Numero Uno, with the two young lads Callum and Cameron getting to meet Jim Leishman and to closely interrogate John Potter on his signing policy. Wisely, their dads covered the boys’ ears during some of guest speaker Kenny Clark’s fruitier observations!
After the meal, the fans watched the Airdrie match from the comfort of a hospitality box, and voted Josh Falkingham as their Man of the Match. Once again, Callum and Cameron stole the show as they presented their hero with his award.
Everyone had a great day, and really appreciated the service given by Margaret Miller and her staff. A similar event is planned for the match against Stirling Albion on 14 March.
These events are part of the drive to improve the matchday experience for all fans, and to make Dunfermline Athletic the best club in Scotland for home or away supporters with a disability. If you have an idea that you think will help, drop an email to directors@dafc.co.uk – we want to hear from you.
