Gozie Ugwu leaves the Pars

John Potter allows striker to leave

John Potter has confirmed today (Monday) that Gozie Ugwu will not have his contract extended. The 21 year old signed for Dunfermline on 1st August 2014 and was contracted to the club until the end of the year.

With seven goals the Oxford born striker is Dunfermline's top goalscorer in League One this season but has started just ten times in making 18 appearances for the club.

Gozie arrived at East End Park from Reading where he had progressed through the Royals Academy and had been loaned out to Conference side Ebbsfleet, at Yeovil Town and at Plymouth.
