Friday, 28th Nov 2014The Galloway side have recorded just four wins ever in the 41 league and cup games between the sides but two of these were at Stair Park last season.
Seventeen years past between the Pars visits to play at Stranraer before the road there was rediscovered in October last year. Saturday's William Hill Scottish Cup tie takes Jim Jefferies and his team there for the fifth time in 13 months.

This season's trip to Stair Park on 30th August yielded a 2-1 win for the Pars. Gozie Ugwu put the visitors ahead, former Par Willie Gibson equalised before half time but Michael Moffat got the winner early in the second half.
In the Scottish Cup Dunfermline have been drawn against Stranraer three times, always away. In January 1954 a 4-1 victory was secured with two goals each from McSevenie and Candlish.
In February 1961 en route to lifting the Scottish Cup for the first time ever the Fifers won 3-1 courtesy of goals from Harry Melrose, Charlie Dickson and Tommy MacDonald.
The last meeting was in January 1979 when after being held to a 1-1 draw at Stair Park before a Mullin goal was the winner at home.

Stranraer are unbeaten in their last thirteen matches since losing at home to Dunfermline and have won their last five home matches, scoring 12 goals while conceding only one! The Pars win over Stirling last Saturday was just their second in their last six.
