Paul (27) joined Dunfermline ahead of their return to the SPL. A product of Queen of the South's youth system in 2000 he was promoted to the senior squad in 2002. His first team debut came against Arbroath on 18th March 2003, before scoring his first senior goal against Ross County in a 3-0 League Cup victory. Paul was the longest serving player at Queens with over 250 first team appearances when he left to join the Pars in June 2011.
During his 11 year stay at Palmerston Park Paul primarily played in right midfield but has also been deployed in central and left midfield.
Left Dunfermline to return to Queen of the South where he was again to be re-united with Jim McIntyre and Gerry McCabe.
