Pre Match Boost for Pars
Saturday, 17th May 2014Faissal El Bakhtaoui has this morning signed a new two year contract with DAFC.
All Pars supporters have been given a pre match boost before tomorrow's play off final second leg, with the news that Faissal El Bakhtaoui has this morning signed a new two year contract with DAFC.
Twenty one year old Faissal only broke into the team in January but his fantastic skill and work rate have now made him a fans' favourite. The French Moroccan's performances in recent weeks have attracted a lot of attention, so the Club has moved quickly to secure another young talent at East End Park.
As has been said before, it is the success of the Centenary Club Lifeline which has enabled the Club to extend the contract of Faissal, as one of our most prized assets. It is a credit to those supporters who have already become members, and it is hoped that this news will encourage more Pars fans to both sign up, and continue with their monthly membership in the long term. A very happy Jim Jefferies commented:-
"This is a tremendous boost for everyone associated at the Club and rewards Faissal for his performances over the last few months, after taking a bit of time to settle after coming to Scotland as a young boy.
"We have lost three strikers to injury in the run in, but "Faiss" has stepped up to the mark and worked so hard for the team, as well as scoring some crucial goals. This is tremendous news ahead of the play off final, second leg and provides a boost to the club and our supporters. If Faissal continues to improve, I think he has a big future ahead of him".
Further reaction from "Faiss" and Jim Jefferies will follow next week.
