Geggan nets in game of throw ins
Friday, 16th May 2014"I thought it was a bit harsh that we didn't get a foul and it was a bit harsh because the boy was on Danny Grainger's shoulders.
Andy Geggan thought his 12th goal of the season might have been the goal to separate the teams but Thomas O'Brien headed in an equaliser just seven minutes later:-
"As soon as I scored I thought that was going to be it. It is such a small pitch and so tight. It was basically just a game of throw ins. It wasn't a great game at all but happy with the 1-1 draw to take it back to our place.
"We knew before we came here that it was going to be a battle; we said if we win that battle we will win the game. I am just glad that we got the 1-1, we didn't get beat and we can go into Sunday's game in confidence."
Andy thought that the equaliser should have been ruled out:-
"I thought it was a bit harsh that we didn't get a foul and it was a bit harsh because the boy was on Danny Grainger's shoulders. That is part and parcel of the game and we just have to take it."
The Pars captain smiled with relief as he said Sunday is going to be a totally different game with a large vocal crowd:-
"Obviously we like to play football at home and that is going to be our aim. To win the play offs is what we have been playing for all season and it would be devastating to stay in the league that we are in. The Championship next season is going to be the best league in Scotland and it would be amazing if we can get up there."
The 15 point deduction for going into administration made survival in last season's First Division just too much:-
"We ran out of steam as in the last two games and as you saw in the first leg all the boys work for each other. We have a wee bit about us now where we can carry on and finish the job off.
"We are confident, we were confident going to Cowdenbeath unfortunately it ended up a draw but you have to take that into Sunday. We need to get up there to keep the club going."
