More of Moore
Tuesday, 24th Dec 2013Striker Jordan Moore to have his on loan period extended to the end of season 2013-2014.
The on-loan Dundee United striker, Jordan Moore has had his deal which was due to expire next month extended to the end of the season. With new SPFL rules indicating that manager Jim Jefferies could only keep one of Moore and midfielder Ryan Ferguson, also on loan from Tannadice, he has decided to keep 19 year old Moore.
Jim Jefferies met with both players before Christmas to inform them of his decision with United boss Jackie McNamara happy to allow Moore, who has scored eight goals for the Pars, to extend his stay.
Jefferies said:-
"I had a chat with both players and we haven't got a lot of options in the striking role. We could only keep one, so we've had a chat with Jackie and we're happy to keep Jordan Moore. We're always a wee bit more short up front.
"We've got the presence of Ryan Thomson, who scored on Saturday, but Jordan has always come on and made an impact. He's only young and there will be times when Thommo's not available. We're not there yet but we would like to keep Jordan and Jackie has agreed to that."
