Scott Mercer to return
Albion Rovers will allow on-loan Dunfermline midfielder Scott Mercer to return to East End Park at the end of his 28-day loan period on 13th December. The 18-year-old started one game for Rovers during his temporary period but has been unable to force his way into manager James Ward's plans on a regular basis. He said: "Scott has come in and worked hard but I have to be fair to him. I would like to have him available to me for the next month but he may not have played much and it would not have been right to keep him here in those circumstances."
Scott played for the Dunfermline U20s in the Youth Cup while out on loan at Albion Rovers and was an unused sub in the Scottish Cup Fourth Round in the Coatbridge side's famous win over Motherwell at New Douglas Park.
