Scott Mercer out on loan
Friday, 8th Nov 2013Scott hopes to get first team experience at Albion Rovers
Eighteen year old Scott Mercer has gone out on a one month long loan to League Two side Albion Rovers. Scott is an attacking midfielder who delivers wicked crosses from either wing. He is hard working and hopes to benefit for playing for a club who gave Ryan Thomson his first taste of first time football back in 2010.
Rovers manager James Ward has freshened up his squad ahead of the visit of Annan with the loan additions of both Scott Mercer from Dunfermline and Mark Shankland from Ayr. Fresh bodies were required as Peter Innes (leg), Kevin Nicoll (knee) and Pat Walker (ankle) remain out injured and Scott Chaplain is suspended.
Scott has been with Dunfermline Athletic since U10s. He is a local lad who attended Queen Anne High School and has been a Pars fan all his life.
