Thursday, 24th Oct 2013Sammy The Tammy is proud to sport a new sponsor on his jersey
Supporters attending Saturday's game against East Fife, will have noticed that Sammy The Tammy was proudly sporting a new sponsor on his jersey.
Dunfermline Athletic Football Club are delighted to announce that Craig Adam Joinery has kindly offered to sponsor Sammy until the end of the season. Craig Adam is not only a long term supporter of the Club, but has helped DAFC out on a number of occasions with a range of different joinery work.
Craig is pictured above alongside Sammy, with his children Cameron and Molly, who are twins both aged 9.
Bob Garmory, Chairman commented:_
"As Pars United look to build DAFC back up on to a firmer footing, it is important that we re-engage with local businesses in West Fife, whilst demonstrating that the new Club will be based upon sound principles such as honesty and integrity.
"Therefore, Craig Adam Joinery's support at this time is much appreciated, particularly taking into account the fact that Craig not only paid for the sponsorship for this season prior to the Club going into administration, but agreed to pay for the very same sponsorship post administration. Everyone at DAFC applauds Craig Adam for his loyalty".
Craig Adam added:-
" I have supported the Pars since 1987 and in recent months the thought of the Club no longer being here, was simply unbearable. It is important that the new DAFC under new leadership can continue to count on the support of local businesses, as a successful football club is good for the town and surrounding districts. I wish Pars United the best of luck in turning the Club around, and with the support of the wider community of West Fife we can make DAFC great again".
