Liquidation avoided
Friday, 11th Oct 2013Interim Interdict: petition refused at Court of Session
Dunfermline Athletic have staved off the threat of liquidation after a court move by former owner Gavin Masterton.
On Friday, the club's administrators BDO were successful in fighting the interdict Mr Masterton had raised over their training ground at Pitreavie.
Mr Masterton had applied for the court order to prevent Dunfermline Athletic Football Club Limited's administrators from renouncing the lease on the facility.
Bryan Jackson, business restructuring partner with BDO LLP, commented:-
"I am pleased that the interdict has not been succesful and that we can now proceed with the completion of the CVA at Dunfermline and get Pars United in place as quickly as possible. This was a distraction from the transfer of the club to its new owners and I am glad that sense has prevailed."
