Geggan the match winner
Sunday, 22nd Sep 2013Four goal midfielder looks forward to meeting his old club next
Andy Geggan's match winning goal on Saturday was his fourth goal of the season but it certainly came as a great relief to everybody at East End Park on Saturday.
"I just want to keep it going because this is a new side of me. I will just play every game as it comes and hopefully get a goal every game."
The 85th minute winner was described by some as scrappy but when it lifts the three points its unlikely any Pars player or fan is going to complain about that:-
"To be honest I did not know what was happening, it was just bouncing everywhere. I got the chance to hook it with my left foot, hit the strike and that was it, the winner. I am delighted with that."
The second goal was required after a defensive slip up allowed Airdrieonians to equalise almost immediately:-
"Big Luke knows himself that the young boy has turned him and he had made a mistake. The boys dug in and should have won it comfortably. We got the result in the end, that's the main thing. We are creating the chances and somebody is going to get a right good one."
Next up is the game against Andy's old club and the 26 year old already has engaged in the pre match exchanges:-
"I have been talking to a few of the boys. Ayr United are my old club and I am looking forward to it. I am quite paly with a few of the boys and that makes it even better."
