Pars up for Diamond challenge
Thursday, 19th Sep 2013"The boys know that you have got to dig in and that's what we are doing.
Airdrie are the visitors on Saturday when Pars captain Josh Falkingham is keen to extinguish the horrid memory of the last time the Diamonds came to East End Park. Back in May the 2-1 defeat to the already relegated club banished the Pars to the play offs and ultimately to relegation. Josh claims that the boys are out for revenge:-
"They are definitely up for it, we are playing some good stuff and are pleased with how things are going at the minute. It is just the lack of goals really. It is not confidence or anything like that because there are no boys struggling.
"Maybe the lack of experience is showing a little bit but apart from that as long as we keep creating the chances somebody will hopefully take a drubbing. We will continue to do what we are doing, we are playing the right way. As we found on Saturday teams are trying to stop that, especially in the second half.
"The boys know that it is not as easy as just going and playing your stuff, you have got to dig in and that's what we are doing. We won't change to how opponents want to play.
"Picking the final pass in the final third let us down on Saturday. We know ourselves that its not through not getting into these areas but we are working on it during the week. As a group we know that we are not clinical enough. Hopefully on Saturday all the hard work will pay off and we will start scoring the goals.
"Look at us at Stenhousemuir - we scored five that day. We want to do that in front of the fans who have been brilliant home and away. They are behind us and they deserve us to put a show on for them. We will strive for the best we can."
