Window should close in December
Tuesday, 17th Sep 2013JJ:- "I would rather it was open up to December then shut it until next season.
The Pars gaffer, Jim Jefferies, is not a supporter of the transfer window closing in September but was relieved that he got through it with his squad still intact.
"Movement of players from club to club is a good thing, people need a change and you need to get fresh players in but once you get your team organised I don't think there should be any more transfer windows. I would rather it was open up to December then shut it until next season. That's just my personal opinion.
"There weren't any bids for players, there were some tentative enquiries. Apart from one, nothing in writing but they were trying to take advantage of Dunfermline's situation and you cannot blame them for that. I would probably have done that myself but the answer was no.
"I will not hold anybody back if some big club comes calling but Dunfermline has to get their fair share. We are happy to have the players here to try and get us up into the Championship."
