20 year old former Dundee United youth signs until the end of the year

Former Dundee United youth, Robert Thomson has signed a contract with Dunfermline until the end of December. He told the website:-

"I have been here a month really. I have really enjoyed it and I wanted to sign because they are a great bunch of lads. Obviously knowing the boys on loan from Dundee United has helped me settle in. I have got to know the others really quickly."

Robert has featured in five U20s matches since he arrived, the first was at Oakley on 30th July. The 20 year old who was born in Paisley claims that he likes the ball at his feet but with height that gives him an aerial power. He is right footed and hopes to score many goals for the Pars. He has the advantage of potentially linking up with his former co-striker at Dundee United, Jordan Moore:-

"I have known Jordan and Ryan Ferguson for a while and used to playing with them. Coming to Dunfermline is a good opportunity and I am just looking forward to getting settled because it has been a long summer. I wanted to stay full time because of the stage I am at, this came up so it is perfect."

Robert had been at Dundee United in their youth ranks before going full time at age 16.
