Josh is older and wiser
Wednesday, 28th Aug 2013"We have to make sure that we do not concede and give them a confidence boost ..
Josh Falkingham is predicting that Saturday's opponents, Stranraer will be up for their visit to Dunfermline and looking forward to playing in the stadium there:-
"It will be a tough game, they will take confidence from their win over Ross County and we have got to make sure that we start the game right. We have to make sure that we do not concede and give them a confidence boost. If you get a 1-0 lead you are going to have the confidence to go and demand the ball. That is what teams are doing, we can't afford to do that and put ourselves under so much pressure.
"We have known from the start that teams are going to raise their game but we have just got to deal with that and hopefully the home crowd will help us more than it will help them in the end."
Josh who was 23 on Sunday feels that five games in two weeks has been a tough schedule for Dunfermline and the defeat to Falkirk has brought them crashing back down to earth after the high they finished on at Ochilview last Saturday.
"We are going straight into another game on Saturday with the chance to bounce back right away. We need to go into the game correct and in the right frame of mind."
The narrow midweek defeats to two teams from the league above has given Josh confidence
"If we keep playing like that against teams in the Second Division, keep passing the ball, moving it like we are doing and working teams hopefully we will get strong and go one to win games by two, three, four or five goals."
Josh described his feelings as "very frustrated" at the defeat in the Falkirk Stadium on Tuesday night
"It is how things are going at the moment. We are dominating games but seem to come off the pitch losing. We are conceding sloppy goals, really poor goals that are really poor mistakes. Oppositions are not cutting us up and they are not creating loads of chances. Possession wise we are battering teams, we are creating lots of chances but just not taking them. It is so frustrating to come off that pitch having created the best chances but we lost silly goals and we only have ourselves to blame.
"We need to learn and learn fast. It is going to keep killing us if we do not do it quickly because every time that we do make a mistake, teams are punishing us. That is how football is. No matter what level you play at, even if you go higher they obviously punish you more. We need to get our act together by defending better."
