Two goal Geggan gunning for more
Monday, 26th Aug 2013" I felt all the way, even at 3-0 and 4-2 we all believed we could still win ....
The last minute winner from Andy Geggan
In 35 Dunfermline appearances last season Andy Geggan scored two goals and although he scored twice on Saturday he still joked that describing him as "not renowned for goal scoring prowess" is something he can live with.
"As soon as I got my first goal I had a sneaky feeling that I might get another chance. For it to be the winner makes me over the moon with it.
"I don't really score much but I hope to continue that. We just want to get the ball down and play. Hopefully the gaffer will continue to let me go forward. We can certainly look forward to Tuesday now and take it on from there.
"It was a real good game and great to comeback to get the victory. I felt all the way, even at 3-0 and 4-2 we all believed we could still win it. It is good that the boys are showing these qualities."
Andy Geggan scores to make it Stenhousemuir 3 Dunfermline 2
The 26 year old who signed from Ayr United in the summer of 2012 put his finger on the obvious problem:-
"We were really slack with our defending and we need to work on that but I am just happy that we are scoring now."
Andy Geggan hits home the fifth Dunfermline goal
When Stenhousemuir went three up there were forty minutes left and that proved too long for a team that had been taken to extra time in midweek at Peterhead in the Ramsden Cup:-
"We were getting more of the ball all the time and it just needed the breaks. The part timers against full timers took its toll towards the end of the game and the fact that Stenny had to play extra time in midweek might have had an effect.
"That was one of the most exciting games I have ever played in, the boys are delighted and I am just delighted we got the fans what they wanted."
