Luke Johnston DOB: 03.09.93 Position: Central Defender |
Jordan Moore DOB: 19.02.94 Position: Striker | |
On loan from Dundee United. Luke would prefer to play further up the park but he has been told that he is better used as a defender.
A Fifer who was brought up in Glenrothes, Luke emigrated to Australia as a 14 year old. There he joined Perth Glory where his manager was former Pars skipper, Ian Ferguson and Robbie Fowler was a team mate. "I enjoyed it there but I came back because the passion for football is so much greater over here. That's why I came back, there are more chances to make it here." This is Luke's first time out on loan and he is keen to learn from the experience. "I used to come to Pitreavie for tournaments when I was a kid so it feels weird to be back again. "All my coaches have said that it will be good for me to come to Dunfermline. Neil McCann and Jim Jefferies are good guys. "This will be a big season for me because it is moving from youths to first team. It will be a challenge but I am looking forward to it. |
// | On loan from Dundee United. A goalscorer who likes to get the ball at his feet and run at defences. Equally comfortable with the ball in the air.
Jordan has been at Dundee United from the age of 13 and was out on loan at the end of season at Airdrie where he made nine first team appearances. Jordan started against the Pars in Airdrie's 2-1 win at East End Park in May and came on as a sub in the 3-3 draw at the Excelsior Stadium in March. "I got a call to say that I was to come down to Dunfermline and start training with them on the day after the friendly that United played against them. "It is good to be able to come here for experience and if I play well here then hopefully I can go back to United and play well for them." Like Luke's, Jordan's loan deal is initially for six months and he hopes that he will be scoring plenty of goals and creating chances for his team mates:- "They are nice boys, everybody has made us feel welcome and it is a big club to be at."
