Pars Supporters Trust plea
Thursday, 11th Jul 2013The final push to buy the Pars
The Pars Supporters Trust would like to thank all supporters who have given so generously to the Buy the Pars campaign in so many different ways-
?By organising and supporting fundraising events
?By direct donations
?By volunteering
?By supporting auctions and sponsorship events
We have so far raised in excess of £80,000 towards our target of £100,000. This is a magnificent effort by all but we need to ask you now to help us with the final push. The more we are able to contribute to Pars United the more we can strive to get fans a higher percentage ownership of the Club.
We were delighted that Pars United was named as the preferred bidder but there is still a way to go. The Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) is due to be agreed by the end of July. At the time of writing this there is no exact date for this meeting. It should be stressed that if the CVA is not agreed all monies in the buythepars account will be returned to those who donated.
This is a plea to all of you to help us in this final stage and reach our goal.We are grateful to all of those supporters who have already donated but for those of you who have been holding back now is the time. You can donate directly via www.buythepars.org or send a cheque to PST c/o 37 Halbeath Road Dunfermline KY12 7QZ.
There are three pre-season friendlies coming up, the first of these on Saturday 13th July at East End Park at 2.00pm so come along if you can. We are playing Hearts, another club in difficulties and the gate money will be split between us.
The Purvis Group are continuing talks regarding shirt sponsorship but cannot make a commitment until after the CVA. We have decided to promote the opening of the new CHAS fundraising shop in East Port by displaying their logo on the players' shirts for the three friendlies. The shirts will be auctioned off afterwards and the proceeds split between CHAS and Pars United. The Hearts match is being generously sponsored by QTS, and the DPS Group will sponsor the man of the match. These two companies will make financial contributions to both the Pars and Hearts fans' groups.
Lastly please continue to support the various fundraising ideas.
The responses to our appeals for support have been amazing and without the loyal fans our club would have ceased to exist. Together we can do this.
Thank you once again on behalf of the Pars Supporters' Trust.
