Manager on Friday
Friday, 5th Jul 201305/07/13: JJ - "Concentrating on the football side of thiings"
Jim Jefferies is concentrating on the football side of things while the ownership of the Club and stadium is sorted out amongst administrators BDO and KPMG and the named preferred bidder, Pars United.
The Manager cannot get too involved but admits that Pars United have very well and put in a lot of hard work to ensure that the potential for takeover has come through.
"There are going to be new owners which is the first priority from our point of view. If nobody had put a bid in then we would have ended up with a liquidation problem and then there would be no club.
"You have heard me say many times that the most important thing is that the Club survives. That is what we are hanging around for and so far pre season training has been very good."
The extended season with four play off matches reduced the close season for Jefferies and his players and that has meant that most have returned in good shape.
"We felt that they could go straight into double sessions. They are a young fit team anyway, they have all looked after themselves reasonably well. We did all the checks when they came back, there were a couple below scratch but nothing excessive.
"Some have put on muscle weight. The good thing is that it is not in body fat."
