Rallying call for supporters
Tuesday, 30th Apr 2013This is the one last chance to support Jim's young side
The Pars need your fantastic support again to preserve our place in SFL Division One Dunfermline Athletic v Airdrie United Pars United was recently formed to create a unified strategy towards saving Dunfermline Athletic Football Club, which has provided an inclusive solution for all Pars supporters and clubs to form a way forward for everyone. Please show your support to these new Pars heroes on Saturday afternoon by coming along, buying your ticket and helping the lads get over the finishing line. Hopefully Saturday night will be a time to look forward to the club's future next season, whilst celebrating survival that would have been achieved by the youngest Dunfermline Athletic team in more than a generation.
Saturday 4th May 2013, kick off 3.00pm
Having narrowly missed guaranteed First Division survival in the latest (and cruellest!) manner last Saturday at league champions Partick Thistle, The Pars this week have one last chance to ensure that the club will be automatically playing in the First Division next season. Just one point ahead of local rivals Cowdenbeath, Dunfermline Athletic know that it's in their own hands and a win on Saturday will see us safe!
Back to back wins away to Morton and at home to Cowdenbeath, joined by that vital away point on Saturday, has put Jim Jefferies' young stars on the road to safety, having been all but written off ahead of these fixtures. One further push for a vocal home support is now needed!
After the good turnouts for the previous two home games, another call to arms is being made for any Pars supporters out there to once again show their support for their side.
As reported recently, there are huge efforts being made off the park to ensure the continued survival, and eventual buy out, of Dunfermline Athletic but the easiest way for supporters to help is to buy a ticket for the last scheduled league match of the season and show their support from the stands.
With the Under 20s team having reached the pinnacle of the Scottish Youth Cup final at Hampden Park on Wednesday night, many of these same players will be asked to once again pull on a first team strip on Saturday afternoon, having shown they are more than capable of the task facing them in recent weeks.
? "Save the Pars" bucket collection will be in place once again. This has proven to be a huge success in recent weeks and has provided much needed cash reserves to aid the club through the administration process.
? Season ticket holders wishing to donate on the day can do so in the "Save the "Pars" buckets.
? "Save the Pars" envelopes for donations in the hospitality lounges will again be issued for anyone attending same.
This is the one last chance to support Jim's young side as they aim to achieve what looked impossible just a few weeks ago. The rallying of supporters has been remarkable over this period of time, please come along to East End Park on Saturday afternoon and let's show the players what this club means to us the local community of Dunfermline.
COME ON YE PARS!
