Get us out of this!

Gall - "The Club is dying on its knees in front of me. It is disappointing to see and you just hope that somebody can come in with a package

Paul Gallacher quote

Pars keeper Paul Gallacher was very disappointed with Saturday's result, especially having done ever so well in the first half:-

"In the second half it looked as though a different team had gone out there. We were sloppy in everything we did and gave them goals. They didn't have to work very hard for their goals whereas we had to graft to create chances and score good goals.

"That second half performance was bordering on unacceptable; the fans turned out in their numbers to cheer us on - they did that to the very end - but we gave away the goals."

Given his role, Paul was extra critical of the loss of four goals:-

"To lose goals in that manner you can't put that down to what is going on off the park. Yes it is a trying time off the park and we are still in the dark not really knowing what is going on next week. It is obviously going belly up and it is a worrying time."

DEVASTATED FANS

As a Dunfermline resident the problems at the football club are never far from him, Paul is constantly in amongst supporters and has friends who are supporters:-

"The Club is dying on its knees in front of me. It is disappointing to see and you just hope that somebody can come in with a package to get us out of this. It is really trying times. Hopefully over the weekend something can happen that can see us through to the end of the season."

Acknowledging all the hard work that has been put in by supporters behind the scenes to find a solution to the problems Paul felt that it was up to them or a potential investor to come in.

"It is unbelievable that it has come to this. It is heart breaking at times and you meet grown men who are so upset that this potentially could be the end."

Steven McDougall nets his second

A former team mate of Gall is Steven McDougall whose two goals against him on Saturday contributed to the Pars sixth successive home defeat. Steven left happy to have taken all three points in their quest to survive in the First Division:-

"We are down at the bottom of the league and we were delighted to get them.  At 3-1 down it is always at the back of your mind that it might be all over but you always have a chance."

Steven had only scored one goal this season - against Airdrie United back in October so he was very pleased to add a brace even though it was against his old club:-

"It was good to get one, but obviously two is better. I am mainly just happy for the three points. I have a lot of friends who are still here and I feel really sorry for them but for the 90 minutes we wanted the three points and we got them. Hopefully Dunfermline can pull through this week and it is too big a club to go away."
