Jordan McMillan playing on

Dunfermline Athletic captain, Jordan McMillan insists that he and his team mates are trying to keep their minds on football but admits its tough going home to wife and kids who are keen to know if things are improving:-
"I try and keep myself as upbeat as I can because I am that kind of person. The gaffer has been smashing with us. he keeps us informed and anything he has told me I have passed on to the boys. We have no complaints that way but I have just tried to keep the boys the same as we were at the start of the season when we were being paid a wage."
Jordan acknowledges that it is not nice reading headlines that suggest Dunfermline is playing their last game but he will not accept any of that until it actually happens.
"It is horrible but we are all fighting the cause, as are the fans. Every fan that we speak to says just keep going until this is ended. We believe that there is a hint of a light at the end of the tunnel but we do not know the ins and outs of it. On Saturday we heard there was a meeting, I don't know where or when but we were just concentrating on the game."
The 24 year old defender who joined Dunfermline on 31st January last year hopes that Dunfermline Athletic can survive in some way:-
"It is a good club with a lot of history. The fans deserve it and you do not want what happened at Rangers to be going on in Scottish football. I hope they stay alive, that's the most important thing whether I am here or not. There are boys with contracts for here next season so I hope for their livelihood that the club stays alive."
The travelling support at Starks Park created a great atmosphere that the players enjoyed their backing:-
"The fans see the Club as theirs and not some guy upstairs saying that it is his. The fans have been great with us all through the season and you could see again against Raith how good they are. That helps us, especially in games like that.
"It is part and parcel of the game staying alive that the fans turn out in their numbers and they did. It was great considering the weather and the park weren't great. The fans have kept us going over the last few weeks.
"The gaffer has told us we have a good team spirit and that he'd like to keep most of this squad but that is obviously up to what happens upstairs with the money. We are just plugging on and getting on with it until we are told otherwise."
