Game assured
Friday, 1st Mar 2013Gavin Masterton:- "We do hope as many fans as possible will turn up tomorrow to support our players."
Further to a really productive meeting this morning between Jim Jefferies and Gavin Masterton, the players and staff have received a further payment today (Friday).
This will ensure Saturday's game against Patrick Thistle will be played as scheduled.Jim Jefferies said,:-
"There has been a lot made out of the idea that the players were going to go on strike, that was never a firm decision, they are professional players and myself and Gerry have spoken to them about the best way forward and that is to play the game tomorrow.
"Gavin and I had a meeting this morning and getting that extra 30% on their pay makes a big difference. The players are now looking forward to the game and will go out fighting to win."

Gavin Masterton added:-
"We were delighted that we could make a further payment out to the players and also further payments out to our backroom staff. This is far from an ideal situation to be in and I would like to thank the players and staff for their continued patience and exempelary service. We are hoping to be able to make further payments to all staff as soon as possible to resolve this situation. We do hope as many fans as possible will turn up tomorrow to support our players."
