Cardle remains positive

"We have to turn it around, it is just a matter of time for us because we are playing some good stuff ...

Joe Cardle is hoping to put last Saturday's defeat at Falkirk behind him as the Pars take on the league leaders at East End Park:-

"As soon as we turned up at the ground, we knew that it was going to be a battle. The Falkirk guys were going to be used to that because they have played on it for the last couple of months.

"It wasn't our day, we played some good stuff but for that to happen at the end was a sore one to take. We have to look to Saturday and turning that around. "

Joe feels that Dunfermline's promotion hopes can't be written off. The back to back home games against Morton and then Partick Thistle will go a long way to showing if the broader public opinion is correct

"If we get two wins in the next two weeks then anything can happen. It could turn it all around for everyone - that is what we have to do, starting with three points out of the game on Saturday.

"We have to turn it around, it is just a matter of time for us because we are playing some good stuff. Even on that pitch at Falkirk, we played some good football.

"Our home form has not been up to scratch. We have been losing games that we should have been winning - like Airdrie and Livingston where we should be picking up three points."

Joe will remain positive even though a win still only reduces the deficit to seven points. The 26 year old can admire the experienced players in the Morton team having played alongside Kevin Rutkiewicz, Martin Hardie and David Graham when they were Pars.

"These boys have played in this league for most of their careers. They know what they are up against. We are at home on Saturday and expected to show something, hopefully we can do that.

"They probably know our game plan but we have to be bigger and better on the day. We can play the better football and it is up to us to do that."
