Dunfermline Athletic U14s and U15s youth teams enjoyed a fantastic trip to Sunderland AFC on Saturday.

The players, parents, coaches and sponsors had an early start on Saturday morning to travel down to the Academy of Light to play matches against Sunderland Youth teams.

Afterwards they all attended the match at the Stadium of Light to watch Sunderland v Arsenal.

Head of Youth Development, Stephen Wright, said:-

"This is now our fifth trip south of the border enabling our youth players to experience playing against quality opposition. It was an excellent opportunity for our boys to test themselves against a top English Academy team. Sunderland have one of the best academies in England producing many players who have progressed into their first team. Our hosts were very accommodating and looked after us very well, they also helped us secure tickets for the first team match. The next trip we are currently working on is an Easter visit to Everton FC Academy with a couple of our younger teams."
