Falkingham staying positive

"We definitely looked more dangerous going forward and were unlucky not to come out with a point and maybe even three given the chances we created.

Josh Falkingham said he was really disappointed with the result on Saturday but knew that when reduced to ten men it was always going to be tough:-.

"We knew that and to be honest I think as the game panned out they were always going to have a bit more possession. We definitely looked more dangerous going forward and were unlucky not to come out with a point and maybe even three given the chances we created.

"That's the way it has been going for us at the minute but we need to keep our heads and spirits up. It will definitely come and hopefully we can bounce back on Saturday. With it being so quick and games coming thick and fast, hopefully the luck will come our way on Saturday."

Saturday will see Dunfermline take on Morton who leapfrogged the Fifers thanks to their win over front runners Partick Thistle.

"The boys are looking at results but was always going to be tight. We knew that going into the festive period that it was always going to be tough. Falkirk at home, Morton away and Raith all in the space of a week is a big ask."

Josh said that his team mates were gutted at the end of the Boxing Day match but he claims they will re-group in time to face Allan Moore's team:-

"Hopefully we can get a positive result on Saturday to bring us all back in together."

The Pars will face Morton at Cappielow without their captain Jordan McMillan following his red card against Falkirk. Josh was in the thick of the incident and he described his take on the incident that appeared to stem from Referee Stephen Finnie not giving a foul in Dunfermline's favour.  He continued:-

"There was a foul in the first place - that's why everybody was getting a bit mad. It was a definite foul. The fans were riled at the referee and I was just protecting myself in a 50-50 ball. The other boy was going to do exactly the same and it was nothing malicious. Jordan (McMillan) knows himself that in trying to help me out, he has taken it to the next step and nowadays you just can't do that.

"He is really disappointed in the changing room. We are not going to put blame on anybody but Jordan knows himself. He has been outstanding this season and none of the boys are going to ask him for an apology. We know and he knows, that's the end of the day. We are just going to get on with it but we are disappointed that the result didn't go our way."
