DAFC response to recent news reports
Friday, 26th Oct 2012DAFC Structural change to ensure more focus.
Many of you will have seen this morning's papers.
This leaked information on proposed structural changes within the DAFC board is something we have been working on for some time with the aim of restructuring the company into smaller, more focused entities.
This new structure will allow us to reduce the existing cost base and help generate much-needed additional income to achieve our ultimate aim - to return DAFC to the SPL.
We had hoped to announce this once full agreement had been reached. Unfortunately information leaked in advance of any official statement from DAFC.
To clarify, it is correct that Bill Hodgins has parted company with the DAFC board. However, the other board members will continue to play an active part in the running of the Club through its 100% owned subsidiary, Black and White.
We are today working to finalise the new structure and will provide further clarification in due course.
In the meantime, we would like to thank our loyal fans, business partners and the Dunfermline community for its continued support to their local team.
