Manager of the Month Award for JJ

09/10/12:- Jim Jefferies has picked up his first Manager of the Month award at Dunfermline.

Dunfermline Manager, Jim Jefferies has been awarded the First Division's Manager of the Month Award for September. The award sponsored by IRN BRU follows similar achievements at Falkirk, Kilmarnock and at Hearts.

September proved to be a good month for the Pars with impressive home wins over Raith Rovers and Livingston coupled with away wins at Dumbarton and Hamilton. Twelve points out of twelve for a team that scored twelve and conceded one in the league. Their only failing was to lose in added time to SPL Aberdeen in the Scottish Communities League Cup but even that was acclaimed by Aberdeen boss Craig Brown.

Jim told the website:-

"These awards are nice but you can't get them without the players. It is a reward for their efforts really and I have to add Gerry McCabe, Neil McCann and all the backroom staff. I pick it up on behalf of a team, it is not all about Jim Jefferies.

"It is nice to get the award but it has cost me a bit because I have got to contribute towards the Christmas fund, but if I win another couple then I will do the same again. It is only right because it is through the players and backroom staffs efforts that I get this award."
