U20s resume their fixtures on Monday evening away to Ross County at Victoria Park, Dingwall with a 7.00pm kick off.
Due to Celtic's Next Generation match in midweek v Sporting Lisbon our U20s match with them was postponed, however during the week our youngsters had plenty of match practice and travelled through to Murray Park on Tuesday 4th September to play against Rangers. On Friday 7th the U20s then travelled through to play Dundee Utd at St Andrews.
Both matches included many of DAFC's U17 players including Lewis Martin, Finn Graham, Lewis Spence, Scott Gray and Ryan Williamson (son of ex Pars player Andy Williamson). This was Ryan's first game for the U20s and he performed very well. U16 player Gavin Paterson who has been playing well with the Pars this season was also included against Dundee Utd in the U20s game with both players deserving of their chance and showing great promise.
U20s coach John Potter said:-
"It's important that the young players are rewarded for their hard work and efforts and regardless of their age they will be included with the U20s. These games are very beneficial for the development of our young players as being exposed to senior football at an early age can only be great for their progress."
This can only be exciting for the future of our club.
