The first round of the Crossbar Challenge will take place on Saturday 1st September 2012

DAFC are delighted to announce the official launch of the Crossbar Challenge in time for the next home game against Raith Rovers on Saturday 1st September. Many thanks must go to John Watson and Jim Leishman for volunteering to carry out the demonstration at the home gane against Partick.

As at 24th August, we have only received sufficient entries to cover the first 10 home league games of the season. It is hoped that as other supporters see the event unfold in the coming weeks, they will decide to apply themselves and can then be fitted into the remaining 7 home games.

If any supporter would like to apply for future home games, or has any questions about this new initiative please use the following designated email address dafccrossbarchallenge@gmail.com

The draw has now taken place and the names of the lucky participants are denoted in the table below against a nominated fixture.

We have arranged for special Pars home top jerseys to be made available for the event, so the lucky fans will have the pleasure of putting on the famous black and white top and kicking towards the Norrie McCathie Stand!

As previously highlighted, we had hoped to arrange a sponsor for this event but we have been unsuccessful to date. Again it is hoped, if the event proves to be successful it may encourage a sponsor to come forward for next season. Due to the number of entry fees paid, we will only be able to offer a small prize of a £20 Gift Voucher for the DAFC Club Shop, for anyone who successfully hits the crossbar.

However, it is taking part in this new initiative that counts!!
