Frank McConnell has retired after 13 years of service, Rodney Shearer is appointed as Vice Chairman

Frank McConnell has decided to retire from the Board at DAFC after serving for over 13 years.

Born and bred in Dunfermline, Frank has been a life-long supporter of the Pars and the Board and Club are immensely grateful for all of his efforts since he joined in 1999.

Chairman, John Yorkston commented:-
"It's been a pleasure and a privilege to have worked with Frank on the Board all this time. When I was appointed as Chairman, Frank was the first person I approached to join us on the board. He is a lovely guy and we thank him for his wonderful contribution over the years. Although he's resigned from the Board he'll still be a regular as my guest in the boardroom."

Frank McConnell replied:-
"I'm retiring after thirteen very happy years, there have been highs and lows but I'll remember above all the highs!  It's certainly been a privilege to serve the Club."

In addition to Frank Mc'Connell's retirement, the Board has undergone further changes including the appointment of Rodney Shearer as Vice Chairman.

Rodney Shearer, who joined the Board in 2003 commented:-
"I have been a life-long supporter of Dunfermline Athletic and a director for just over 8 years. It is an honour to be asked by the Board to become the Vice Chairman. John and I will work closely together to meet the best interests of our supporters and Scottish football."
