East End Park hosts Vauxhall U21 International Cha

 SCOTLAND U21s v BELGIUM U21s

Scotland U21s faced Belgium at East End Park, Dunfermline on Tuesday 14th August.  A fine summer's evening welcomed this Vauxhall international challenge match to the Kingdom and a good crowd of just under 1600 turned out to see the Scotland stars of the near future.

There was no goals in the first 45 minutes but the fans were entertained to some neat passing and a limited amount of goalmouth action. Mark Ridgers was the busier of the two keepers and he looked commanding until he was stretchered off five minutes from the interval.  Spurs keeper Jordan Archer replaced him.

Half Time: Scotland 0 Belgium 0

Scotland started the second half promisingly but went behind to a well taken goal from Anderlecht's Ziggy BADBANGA in 57 minutes. The striker evaded the challenges of both Danny Wilson and Liam Kelly to slot the ball away at the right post from 19 yards.

Ibrahima Cisse smashed a 64th minute free kick on target but Archer made a fine save. Fifteen minutes later Archer was the hero again with a good save on the end of a powerful low shot. At the other end sub Cameron Park tested Casteels in the Belgian goal but there was to be no Scotland score and Belgium ran out deserving winners.
