Pars to play season 2012-2013 in First Division

Decision

The news from the Annual Meeting of the Scottish Premier League held at Hampden Park on Monday 16th July is that Dundee have been invited to be Club 12.

This means that Dunfermline Athletic will play in the First Division next season. The season will kick off at Forfar in the Challenge Cup and the SFL league campaign at Cowdenbeath on Saturday 11th August. The first home league match will be against Partick Thistle on Saturday 18th August. The draw for the League Cup is still to take place and those ties will be contested on Saturday 4th August.
