Friday, 1st Jun 2012Chris Kane celebrated his 19th birthday by signing a two year deal with Dunfermline Athletic the next day.
Chris Kane turned 19 on Thursday 31st May and signed for Dunfermline Athletic the next day. He is a central midfielder who spent seven years at Hearts after joining them from Hibs. He came through the Jambos youth set up to captain their under 19s and was an unused sub in many SPL matches last season.
Manager Jim Jefferies said:-
"He wants to get to a different level and he feels that coming to Dunfermline and the First Division will help that. There were a couple of SPL clubs interested in him as well but he felt his best chance of making it was at Dunfermline and we are delighted to get the young player. I am sure that he will be an asset to us.
