Shuggie's Cycle Ride - Sunday 6th May
Tuesday, 3rd Apr 2012Applications are now being taken for Cycle Ride for the late Hugh Whyte's favoured charity
East End Park, starting between 11.00am and 1.00pm
Former Pars goalkeeper Hugh Whyte lost his battle against cancer on 9th November 2009. Hugh and his wife Helen were great supporters of charity cycle rides with Helen traveling to Turkey for one of her events and Hugh went to China and cycled part of the Great Wall of China. Despite taking medication, "Shuggie" always tried to stay fit and could often be seen with sweat dripping from his nose in a local gym.
Dunfermline Athletic Former Players Association was formed in 2010 with Hugh being the founder Chairman and since his death the current members have been keen to raise funds for his cancer charity, Myeloma UK.
So here is Shuggie's Cycle Ride and he would have been first name on the list to help, so please complete the entry form. We want all of you who have bikes in the garage to get out and help us promote a healthier lifestyle for all.
