Dunfermline travel to Celtic Park to take on the league leaders in a match brought forward as a consequence of Celtic winning through to the Scottish Communities Cup Final at Hampden on Sunday 18th March. This SPL match was scheduled for the Saturday of that weekend thus the Pars will play thir 28th SPL match of the season on Wednesday night.

With only five Premier League wins at Celtic Park, Dunfermline are always up against it at Parkhead but they have won twice in the last seven visits. The Pars last win at Celtic Park was in November 2005 when a Greg Ross goal secured the Pars first away win of the 2005-06 season`s SPL campaign. The 1-0 win inflicted the first SPL defeat for Celtic and this followed a 2-1 Pars win in Glasgow back in May 2004.

Dunfermline`s win at Kilmarnock is their only SPL success since beating Hibs at Easter Road on 5th November. Celtic are undefeated in their last 18 Scottish games and are undefeated in the SPL since October. At home they have lost only once, on 21st August when St Johnstone won 1-0 and drawn with Hibs.
