Shamrock is new heart of Glass

Former Pars and Hibs player Stephen Glass was at East End Park on Saturday as summariser for BBC Scotland's radio commentary but he has just secured a new job that will see him re-united with former Pars manager Stephen Kenny. Kenny recently left Derry City to take over League of Ireland side Shamrock Rovers whose manager Michael O'Neil has left to take over the Northern Ireland manager's post.
Kenny has fallen back on Dunfermline contacts in assembling his new back-room team as Stephen Glass becomes the new assistant manager at the Tallaght Stadium. He joins the Dublin club from the United States' NASL and Kenny explained that the 35-year-old former midfielder is hungry to do well in his new role.

Kenny said: "Stephen has been coaching with the Carolina Railhawks in America. He had a good playing career before that and played under me at Dunfermline. He is an excellent professional and is keen to come here and do well. He has gone through all his badges in Scotland and I think he will be a good addition to the club."
Stephen Glass made 87 apperarances for Dunfermline, scoring 11 goals after joining the club initially on loan in January 2007. He was released by the Pars at the end of season 2009-10.
