The last time these teams met on league duty was on 7th April 2007. The Pars were fighting for their SPL survival and Hibs had their eye on the Scottish Cup Semi Final against the Pars the following week at Hampden. A 1-0 win kept up Stephen Kenny`s side hopes and of course the Fifers went on to win through to the Scottish Cup Final against Celtic after beating Hibs with a Jim McIntyre penalty in a replay.

After losing only one home match last season in the First Division, hopes of making East End Park a fortress were dented when Motherwell were the visitors last time around. Indeed the Pars are still in search of their first home win of the season. Hibs have already registered an away win but their form is not good.
