Dunfermline Manager, Jim McIntyre has signed striker Andrew Barrowman from Ross County. The 26 year old joins on a two year contract. The Manager commented:-
"He is a big boy, good in the air, tal and a bit different from what we have in attacking options. We felt we needed a target man to complement the types of strikers we have and have not really had anybody like him since Graham Bayne left."
The signing of the striker brings this week's business to three newcomers - Paul Burns, Paddy Boyle and Andrew Barrowman. Macca added:-.
"I'd like to welcome all the new signings. Both Paddy and Andrew have had knock backs in their careers but they are hungry to do well."
The Manager would not say when to look out for his next signing but confirmed that another goalkeeper was going to be essential.
Born in Wishaw, Barrowman joined Birmingham City at the age of 16, having been with Rangers for four years as a schoolboy. In 2002 he representedScotland at Under 19 level in the first qualifying round for the 2003 UEFA European Under 19 Championships.
From Birmingham he took the short trip to join Walsall but returned to Scotland to play at Kilmarnock and Queen of the South but it was in the north with Ross County and Inverness Caley Thistle that he made a reputation for himself as a goalscorer, hitting the net 36 times over the course of four seasons.
