U19 keeper released

Under 19s goalkeeper Aaron Sommerville added to the list of those leaving the Club.

Under 19s goalkeeper Aaron Sommerville has been released by the club but the other five full time players who move out of that age category have been offered one year contracts at the Club.

Discussions are underway with strikers Conor Schiavone and Steven Leslie, full back Blair McWhirter, winger John MacDonald and U19 captain, midfielder Aaron Scott.

These discussions are around extending their contracts and stepping up from the under 19s.

The Club is in the process of bringing in first year youngsters into the Under 19 squad for next season.

Aaron Sommerville joins two other keepers, Kyle Allison and Greg Paterson who all are leaving Dunfermline. Speaking to the Club's website, Jim Leishman said:-

"Along with the others who leave - Neil McGregor, Alex Burke, Chris Higgins, Jake Hyde and Jordan White - these are all good lads. They have worked hard for Dunfermline Athletic, we have to thank them for that and I wish them all the very best for their future in the game."
