"Dunfermline Athletic have participated in one of a series of alcohol awareness sessions, delivered by Alcohol Focus Scotland, the national charity for alcohol issues.

The Fit for Football, Fit for Life initiative was launched at Hampden Park in June 2009. The scheme is a partnership between the New Football Pools and the SFL, and aims to tackle serious issues facing young people playing football, on of which is alcohol awareness.

Kathryn Baker, Children's Services Manager explained:-

"Dunfermline Athletic have participated in one of a series of alcohol awareness sessions, delivered by Alcohol Focus Scotland, the national charity for alcohol issues. The two hour sessions aim to increase the knowledge and understanding of how alcohol effects the mind and body, and raise awareness of the consequences of alcohol use and misuse on both personally and professionally."
