Woods scores and concedes
Saturday, 12th Mar 2011"It was good to get a win after the last couple of disappointing results we've had. That's our second win this season at Falkirk but that was a really enjoyable win today.
Calum Woods had already scored this season at Ibrox in the Co-operative Insurance Cup in August and in the league games against Stirling Albion and Raith Rovers so he was celebrating his fourth goal of the season on Saturday. It was the opening goal of the game that came from a Joe Cardle corner on the right. Chris Higgins' header was cleared off the line but Calum followed up to net at the near post. He said
"I was happy to get on the scoresheet and help out in the second goal. The second one came back off the corner flag, it just stayed in on the line, I got a bit of luck there.
"It was good to get a win after the last couple of disappointing results we've had. That's our second win this season at Falkirk but that was a really enjoyable win today. We have just look towards the next game now and take every game as it comes."
The Falkirk penalty in 13th minute of the second half earned the 24 year old defender a yellow card even though he seemed to make the perfect clearance with a header. Not surprisingly Calum thought it was a soft decision.
"I was very disappointed but these things happen. The Falkirk player agreed it was a soft one but the referee gave it. They put a lot of pressure on us in the second half but we stood strong and saw the game out.
"Falkirk are still in it, you never know what's going to happen in our league. Each team can beat each other."
